Paris Baguette is another place that sells delicious Brunch food. It can be found at Wisma Atria Level 2. Wisma Atria is located along Orchard Road.
I tried the Cheese Omelette that came along with Wedges and a small serving of salad. Firstly, I am very picky about my omelettes. I do not like them too dry or too wet. And the omelette I got had a good consistency and it was well worth my money. A brunch restaurant worth considering.

This chicken rice stall can be found beside a noodle store called Lao Fu Zi at Tanglin Halt Food Centre located at Commonwealth. Based on my personal preference, I feel that the rice that this store sell has a strong chicken rice taste. This basically means that they fry their uncooked rice chicken fats and it brings out the flavour in the rice. Normally when I buy chicken rice from a hawker center, food court or coffee shop, there would not be this specific taste in the rice.
Try out this chicken rice. You can try their innards as well, it is fresh and there is always a long queue during lunch. You would not be able to buy it if you want to have it for dinner. The chicken will be sold out by that time.

PiqueNique is a great place for "brunch" . Brunch meaning breakfast and lunch. The food there is not too heavy and the menu consists of many delicious choices. The pictures show a few of the food that we've tried there and they were all very delicious

The food definitely worth the price and is worth a trip if you love western brunch.

Scotts Hwa Heng Beef Noodles

Orchard Ion, Food republic

The beef noodles here comes from the old Scotts square food court. The mall has been demolished long ago and the beef noodle has been clearly missed. The revival of the store in Ion, food republic was much talked about at one time.

The noodles there are smooth and chewy and the beef is tender and easy to eat. The soup has a nice herbal taste and overall the noodles taste fantastic. The noodles costs $5, which is rather pricey however for the location of the store and the portion of the noodles I would say that it is reasonable.

Scallop Tamago Don from Sushi Tei

The scallops, accompanied by the onions, eggs and sauce were delicious. The scallops were fresh and the sauce was good, not too sweet for my liking.

The ambiance of the restaurant and the service was good. The food was served rather quickly.

The bento itself was $10.90.

After having tried the Beef Noodles from this store on a Saturday, I was back for more. This Beef Noodle store is located at Alexandra Village in a Hawker Center called ABC store number #01-115. It is located behind Ikea.  It sells traditional Beef Noodle Dry or Soup. It has rice too.

Dish is being prepared.

I bought Beef Noodle soup with the thick rice noodles. I had my choice of meat parts customized. I chose to get the Cow's Stomach, the Tendons and the Beef with layering of marbling fats in between the meat layer. This allowed the meat to have the sensation of melting in the mouth. This is the traditional Beef Noodle Soup where the meat is stewed continuously in the stock and only taken out when is needed to be served to customers. The meat is soft and tender and moist instead of being dry and hard which is unpleasant to one's palate. The price of this dish varies based on what you want in your bowl. For mine, it cost $4 and I would say it is a good buy.

Fatty Wing Restaurant @ Bencoolen
175 Bencoolen Street

Fatty Wing Restaurant has a long history of having been around for more than 20 years. They are famous for selling good local chinese zi char. They have satisfactory service as well as they are friendly and are quite fast in serving, even during peak periods.

The food is of good quality and is reasonably priced as well. The must-try food here are their chilli and black pepper crabs, cereal and salted egg prawns. Their fried rice, hor fun and e-mian are delicious as well. If you choose to take-away their fried rice or hor fun, they would wrap it in a white leaf and it makes the food more fragrant.

Although their prices are higher since it is a restaurant, the food is definitely value for money given the taste, portion and the amount of ingredients.

This restaurant is a must-try and many recommend this place to tourists.

After such a long time, I manage to try out the wonton mee from Sunshine Plaza. After my group mate's posting on Pontian's Wonton Mee, we got a suggestion that the Wonton Mee sold at Sunshine Plaza is good too. Thus I decided to go and try it out. This shop has been around for many years. Since when I was in primary school. My school was nearby therefore I would normally go for wonton mee at this stall for lunch. I would like to thank the anonymous person for your suggestion. It reminded me of many memories when I finally ate a plate of Wonton Mee after such a long time.

This Wonton Mee is recommended for all, you would not regret eating it. The noodles have been blanched for an adequate amount of time so that it is not too hard or not too soft. It has a chewy texture. The Fried Wontons have been cooked to a Golden Brown Colour. It does not have a burnt taste nor does it have the lye water taste. The sauce mixture gives noodles a special taste and it is neutralized with the sweetness of the Char Siew.

This is located at Sunshine Plaza along Selegie Road, opposite Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts

Rocher Original Beancurd sells traditional beancurd and has been around for quite a long time. In their menu they serve beancurd, soya bean, egg tarts, you tiao and more. You can choose to have your beancurd and soya bean hot or cold.

The prices of the food are rather reasonable. The egg tart costs $1.10 each and the beancurd is $1.50 per bowl.

Personally I feel that the taste of the beancurd is not as good as it used to be. However, some people still think that it is good so it is based on personal preference. I think that the egg tarts are worth trying as it is fragrant and delicious.

Spicy Ramen

Oden
Men-Ya Kaiko
ION Orchard, Singapore 238801

Men-Ya Kaiko specializes in selling Hokkaido ramen. Apart from ramen, they sell japanese side dishes, rice and oden . The store often has promotions and special deals.

There are only a few ramen on the menu.
- Spicy Ramen
-Hokkaido Ramen
- King Crab Ramen

All of them have the same soup base, either white or red miso , and either/or chicken and pork toppings.

The price is a little on  the high side as the cheapest bowl of ramen ( Hokkaido ramen ) is approximately $13. If you're not feeling too hungry, you can order a half-bowl for $8. The portions are quite large thus a half bowl would suit those with smaller appetite.

They have outlets in many places all over Singapore, such as Far East Plaza, Plaza Singapura, Pasir Ris, etc. You can check out available locations at their Facebook page here

The Creators Of Famous Chilled Soya Beancurd From Old Airport Road

Cold Soya Beancurd aka. Tau Huay

Old Airport Road
Bugis Street
Clementi
Tampines

Lao ban got popular really quickly in the past year for it's delicious tasting cold soya beancurd. The shop first started out as a single store located along Old Airport Road but has expanded quickly, currently almost available all around Singapore.

Their beancurd comes in 2 flavours; Original and Almond. Original being priced at $1.50 and almond at $2. The highly rated beancurd has a smooth texture to it and has a good consistency. The beancurd tastes simple yet delicious at the same time and is definitely worth the price.

Duck rice

Blk 259 Bukit Panjang Ring Road
KSL Coffee Shop
(Nearest LRT: Bangkit LRT)

This stall is especially famous for its duck noodles - Really long queues would form on the mornings of weekends. This stall was recommended to me by many, like my neighbors and friends so I decided to try it.

Unfortunately for me, the noodles were sold out by the time it was my turn to order. However, their duck rice is delicious too. The duck is tender and the sauce complements it well. The presentation of the food is pleasant and appetizing.

Definitely it is value for money, given the quantity and quality of food served and the price - $3.00 (additional $0.50 for the egg), which is relatively affordable since it is at a coffee shop.

Lemon Chicken Rice

Coronation Shopping Plaza , 587 Bukit Timah Road
Golden Rooster #03-07

One of golden rooster's best dishes is their lemon chicken rice that have gotten plenty of good reviews online and offline. The standard size consists of one bowl of rice and a chicken cutlet at the price of $3.50. Upon request the kind store owners can also upsize the dish for an additional $1 with at least half a portion more. It's called lemon chicken rice as one needs to add lemon sauce to the chicken for the best taste.

The store is located along the corridors and takes up about 2 stores. It'll be busy during peak hours especially in the afternoon as plenty of school students often go there to eat.

This is recommended to students as the food is affordable and tastes good.

After spending a long time searching for a place that sells Traditional Katong Laksa, I manage to stumble upon a small cafe located at Queenway Shopping Centre that sells delicious Katong Laska. It is a curry laksa, a variant of laksa lemak from Katong, a small area in Singapore. Katong Laksa is mainly known for the noodles. The noodles are normally cut up into smaller pieces where eating the whole dish with is spoon is possible. The Katong Laksa found at Janggut Laksa come in three sizes, Small, Medium and Large, $3.50, $4.50 and $5.50 respectively. It is not too spicy as the chilli can be added seperately. The spiciness level can be adjusted based on the consumer's liking. Small customisations are available for this laksa too.
